The Stephens County Senior Center is a place where older adults in our community can come together for services and activities that reflect their experience and skills, respond to their diverse needs and interests, enhance their dignity, support their independence, and encourage their involvement within the center and the community.

Anyone 55 and older is eligible to attend the Senior Center, and to take advantage of the beautiful facility.  There is no fee to join, all you need to do is come and join in the fun and fellowship!

Mission Statement: The Stephens County Senior Center strives to enhance the lives of Senior Citizens in Stephens County through wellness, support, nutrition, education, independence, activities, and fun.

Health and Wellness Programs:  Seniorcise, low impact aerobic classes, an exercise room, weekly blood pressure checks, health fairs, and programs by doctors and various health care professionals.

Support: Transportation to Senior Center activities for those unable to drive, referrals to available community resources to meet your individual needs.

Nutrition: Each Tuesday lunch is served at the nominal cost of $3.00, nutrition education programs are provided to help manage diet restrictions / or changing needs to eat properly and to stay healthy.

Education: Programs based on Safety, Identity Theft, AARP Defensive Driving Course, Support Services available to Senior Citizens, Insurance, Medicare/Medicaid.

Independence: Meals on Wheels are delivered to home bound Senior Citizens to help them stay in the home as long as possible.

Activities: Bingo, Movies, Quilting Club, Bridge, Senior Dances, Cake Walks, Crafts, Holiday Celebrations, Day and Overnight trips, Celebrate Monthly Birthdays, Senior Bazaars, Games, Craft Fairs and more!
