Maintenance
The County Maintenance Department provides routine day-to-day maintenance to various county buildings and properties and the equipment housed inside and outside of these buildings. Services include electrical and plumbing, painting, heating and cooling, and ground maintenance.
This department provides cost-effective services by full-time and part-time employees for all county owned buildings, parks and properties. Staff members maintain heat, light, power, air conditioning, plumbing and other such environmental factors to provide safe and comfortable workplaces for county employees and facilities for county residents.
The maintenance department directs the repair, construction and reconstruction of physical buildings and contents and administers a preventative maintenance program to facilitate uninterrupted services to County buildings and property.
Stephens County department heads or designated representatives are required to use a form for all normal maintenance requests. In the event of an emergency, requests can be made by calling the building and grounds maintenance director.
